Every year on my birthday, I get a little nostalgic for the time since my last one. The beautiful things that happened, the challenging things that happened, the miraculous gifts that came through, the people I connected with, the love I felt and shared...
I look back and think of who I was 12 months ago and, in some ways, it feels like a little baby Kimberly in comparison. So much has happened!
Around this time last year, there was no Energy Queen and no Queen Bee Retreat. There was just a longing and a craving for deeper, in-person connection with people. Those two events, my first full day and multi-day events post-pandemic, locked into that desire.
My website was feelin' kinda blah then it got a full-on makeover after a photoshoot I won. I also created my favorite sales page ever for my group coaching program, the Queen Bee Hive!
I started dancing in groups a lot more with the forró community, a just-for-fun modern dance company, and reggaeton parties (PERREO, BABY)!
I cradled myself in the grief that arose from when my last grandparent passed, Abuelito Mario Javier Roque Ruiz Villareal (what a mouthful amiright??), and felt grateful that I went to Mexico multiple times to help my mom care for him and be there for his funeral.
Angelo and I travelled internationally together for the first time to Colombia for my friend's wedding then Yucatan, Mexico for our 2-year celebration.
I also got to ring in the New Year with some of my best friends in Miami! Long-distance open-ocean kayaking and belly laughs included LOL.
This year? Stay tuned for more dancing, an online version of Energy Queen, the next Queen Bee Retreat, and maybe even a Gemini season surprise hehe :)
Overall, I want this year to feel like fun so if you've got any hilarious, silly, or outlandish ideas for me, let me know!
Thank you for being here, it means the world to me <3
All my love,
Kimberly
