On a crisp California fall day in 1991, my parents were in Monterey Bay, CA. I can't remember why...I don't think it was for the whale watching, probably something related to work...

Wherever they were, there was an elevator, and when they were in that elevator, my mom got dizzy. She thought it was weird, kinda out of the ordinary, but my dad instantly knew she was pregnant.

A few weeks later, his suspicions were confirmed. Their first child was on the way (little did they know how wild of a child I would be).

Fast forward to two decades later and I was back living in California and went whale watching in Monterey Bay with some friends when my mom told me this story...

That Monterey Bay was the place where my dad just knew...

It can feel exciting right?

To know something is on the way?
