my parents despised this 😂

Back in kindergarten, my dad always got me ready for school (poor thing). At the time, we were living in Illinois and I went to private Catholic school for a year...omg the thought of me in Catholic school still makes me laugh LOL.

And yes, we had uniforms. Cue the UGH, cuz all I wanted to wear were casual dresses with neon leggings. Not too much has changed HAHA...

Lemme tell you, those uniforms were the WORST. Green and yellow polyester checkered dresses that looked like aprons and frilly white shirts underneath.

Then you had the cotton white pantyhose and patent black Mary Jane shoes (with velcro straps at least cuz I couldn't tie yet).

But the pantyhose...the PANTYHOSE. Omg my hands get sweaty just thinking about them. They had this seam line that was supposed to go on my feet, but I absolutely HATED the feeling of it unless it was right on my toenails.

So my patient (yet silently frustrated) Dad, would have to help me put them on over and over again until the seam was sitting exactly on my toenail line. Just right. Perfect in my eyes.

This is just one example of how perfectionism ran my life as a kid. I was a grade A student always, obsessed over every detail, and only wanted to do and turn in my best work.

When things weren't perfect, my reflex of trying to control it into perfection kicked in. Talk about exhausting! As a teenager, I knew this wasn't sustainable, but it wasn't until college that I released this need to perfect everything.

The secret? I reveal that in today's YouTube video.

In it, you'll discover...

  • A relieving truth about why perfectionism simply isn't necessary.

  • How to finish projects or any task faster and get your time back.

  • The underlying root of perfectionism and how to extract it.

After all, being perfect is boring! Have some fun, live a little, and let's celebrate all the imperfection that lives within you <3
