It's always so interesting to see why my soul might've chosen my mom and dad as parents...
My dad's an engineer/quantum physicist, and when I was growing up, sometimes it would astound me that we were related.
I was good at science and math, but never had a fiery passion for either.
My dad, on the other hand, used to read math books during summer break as a kid. What the actual f*ck, am I right?? What a beach read HAHA (laughing to myself as I write).
I was SO PUMPED to never look at a calculus book again and this dude over here be like MORE PLEASE. I can't LOLOLOL.
But recently, I started to see deeper reasons and puzzle pieces falling into place about why we're in each other's lives...
I'm very open with both of my parents about energy healing and other spiritual practices, and I'm lucky that, even if they don't totally understand, they're accepting of all of it.
That's really saying something about my mom too, cuz she raised us as any Mexican Catholic would, very religious and very God-centric...
But even she has had her own experiences to know that church isn't all of it for her. She's actually the first one that did a reiki session in our family!
People surprise you sometimes, and my dad is another example of that. One day, I was rambling on about how cool energy healing is, what I can do for myself and others...
And he said that it actually makes sense, even though science can't fully grasp what's going on just yet.
There are so many examples of scientific phenomena that go unexplained, especially in the astrophysical realm, and it's theorized that it's linked to something called dark matter.
This energetic web of dark matter, thought to account for approximately 85% of the matter in the universe, is invisible to the naked eye and even the most advanced scientific tools.
Why? According to Google (lol), "dark matter is called 'dark' because it does not absorb, reflect, or emit electromagnetic radiation and is, therefore, difficult to detect."
In the earthly realm, there's been fascinating experiments where two seemingly separate objects, with no physical connection, can somehow affect each other.
For example, saying nice things to some plants and mean things to others actually makes a difference in growth and overall health even though the physical treatment might be the same.
So some scientists hypothesize that dark matter connects us all energetically, almost like fascia connects all the tissues in the body.
Even though we can't physically see it or measure it yet, it's there. Which means that our energy and the healing that we do can have a direct impact on ourselves, our community, and the world.
What a miracle, right? We can all be healers if we understand how to move energy effectively.
