Yesterday marked our second Orgasmic Dance session (wee!) and the theme was GOING HARD & ACTING A FOOL so naturally I included epic Y2K faves on the playlist...
There was some 50 Cent and Missy Elliott (IN DA CLUB energy, baby!) plus some Evanescence and even Barbie Girl haha (imagination, life is your creation)!
While we were dancing, I encouraged the group to embody lots of child-like play and teenage rage so as a fun surprise towards the end, I had a bunch of Y2K items ready for show 'n tell LOL.
Among them were some Lisa Frank notebooks, a rainbow tie-dye Scooby Doo T-shirt, my Britney Spears oracle deck (yes, that exists!), and even some CDs (umm...what?!?). Snapshots below :)
--- Some of my Lisa Frank gear!! My favorite characters are probably Zoomer & Zorbit, the alien twins <3
--- Cards that I picked out for the group from the Britney Spears deck. So on-brand for inner child & teenage energy!
After our session, it felt as if the group had hopped into a time machine and gone back to the year 1999, remembering some of the things that brought them joy during that phase in their lives.
Some people cried, some people had more of a sparkle in their eye, and some people were bouncing around the room so much more than before!
Want a dose of that early 2000s nostalgia too? Then you're gonna love this inner child meditation.
In it, you'll...
- Reconnect with your child-like self.
- Tune into some fun 90s & Y2K energy.
- Boost your creativity, joy, and playfulness.
Meditate with me on YouTube and I'm curious, what's one childhood item you would bring to show 'n tell with you? I'd love to know <3
G2G, CU L8ER :)
