Last week, I was on a call with my clients and was closing up with some scheduling announcements, one of which was that there will be no calls during my birthday weeks (aka almost all of Gemini season LOL).
One girl was lovingly like, "Birthday weeks?"
And I was like HAHAHAHA. Yes. Birthday weeks.
If you know me, you know I'm extra about birthdays, not just my own, but everyone else's too.
Surprise parties are an expertise for me (maybe I should put that in my media bio LOL). One time I surprised my former colleague for her birthday sitting robed up with her mom in a Korean spa in SF. HAHA like what?!?
And I'm equally, if not more, extra about my birthday.
This year, I'll be home with my family and I told everyone I refuse to fly United. Delta only "cuz it's my birthday." My birthday was still over a month away HA.
Oh yeah, and birthday meal? Olive Garden. That will be what I eat. No questions asked. Even though my boyfriend is Italian (no not Italian-American, actually from Italy) and considers this blasphemy (TOO BAD).
My parents have a new dog named Hazel and they warned me not to use the hammock my girl Hannah gave me last year cuz she might chew it and I was like NOPE. DOGS WON'T STOP ME FROM HAMMOCK TIME. BIRTHDAY.
Extra? Yes. My sister swears that's my middle name.
But guess what! If you know what you want, go GET IT.
Be extra! Be unapologetic! It's your life! As long as you're not hurting or harming anyone, DO WHAT YOU WANT.
Fly Delta instead of cheap airlines that make you stuff your purse in your backpack (I'm looking at you United)!
Find a way to make it to Olive Garden even though you're surrounded by much better and real Italian food (love that too, but you know, it's a chain nostalgia thing I hold from childhood HA).
And DEFINITELY get you some more hammock time. No matter what teething puppies might be around. You can't stop me!
